Founded in 1977 as one of the West's first culinary training institutions, the Academy is passionately dedicated to providing the highest standard of education to all students in preparation for careers in the culinary and hospitality industry. San Francisco Advantage We are located in one of greatest culinary and hospitality capitals of the world - San Francisco. The city boasts one of the largest concentrations of hotels and restaurants in the country, giving us a great "living classroom" and a large pool of resources when handpicking our instructors. You'll also have the unique opportunity to work with these local establishments during your externship. - Earn an associate's degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts or Hospitality & Restaurant Management, or a certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts.
- Live in exciting San Francisco, a culinary and hospitality capital!
- Gain the proficiency you need to work at fine restaurants, top hotels, posh resorts, luxury cruise ships, pastry shops, and more!
But you can't study and train all the time. So when you're not learning your new profession, you can find yourself exploring the Bay Area's amazing natural beauty. Hike. Mountain Bike. Sail. Surf. Even a day spent walking along the water and checking out the views from the Golden Gate Bridge is a day well spent. For the less nature-oriented, San Francisco offers museums, boutiques, art fairs, live music, and even a new baseball stadium. Entertainment options are nearly endless! Facilities Historic California Hall, at 625 Polk Street in downtown San Francisco, is the nerve center of the Academy. Since we teach various aspects of culinary arts, baking & pastry arts, and hospitality & restaurant management, you can expect to find an extensive learning facility here. We have a Basic Skills Laboratory for the development of fundamental culinary skills, baking and pastry kitchens, confiseries, butcheries, demonstration kitchens, lecture classrooms designed for wireless network access, mixology and gaming rooms for practicing bar and casino operations, a computer classroom with individual student workstations, and an extensive library. The Academy has the environment to learn and apply the skills you'll need in your future career.
